Vueling is a Spanish airline based in Greater Barcelona. Because data was ineffectively integrated across the company, lines of business could not quickly access and use customer data to meet customer needs. In addition, all data requests needed to go through the Data department, which became a bottleneck. Vueling implemented the Denodo Platform as a unified data-access layer above the company’s disparate data sources, which accelerated and simplified data access. Now, business units can directly engage in data analytics without Data department support, effectively democratizing data access, and customers receive service that is “fine-tuned” to each of their unique situations.
